Joe Wolfe's Web Design Concepts
Concept websites are websites that I have worked on but have never seen the light of day on the World Wide Web. Most of the designs have been built in Photoshop but never actually broken down for use on the web. I decided to include this section of my website to show off some of my more ambitious creations. This is the place where good design goes to die!
Welcome to my web design graveyard!
Century 21 National Website
Completed Pieces:- Photoshop PSD File
This concept was created when Dynamic Page Solutions sought out to create a National Real Estate website for Century 21. The project was never moved passed the initial design because we did not have rights to enough MLS feeds to create a nationally based website. There were also concerns about our web server being able to handle such a large site with the CMS software we use to integrate our MLS feeds with the websites.
The Curve Site
Completed Pieces:- Photoshop PSD File
- Layout XHTML
- Layout CSS
Sometimes I go too far with my creativity. This was one of those instances. The Curve design is a little too bold for the real estate world. I personally think it is an awesome design, but professional realtors tend to go with a basic work-professional looking design.
Organic Real Estate Template
Completed Pieces:- Photoshop PSD File
- Layout XHTML
- Layout CSS
- Flash Rotating Image Gallery
This was a design I worked on when the Eco-Friendly trend started to grow. I wanted this design to support friendliness to the earth and to instill a calming emotion over the user as they browsed the site. The tilted image in the yellow box was a rotating fading flash image gallery which was the reason it was never used. The company has strict javascript and flash restrictions on our websites in order to keep them as secure as possible. After building this template I was told we couldn't use flash leaving this template in the dust.
Sunny Birds Real Estate Site
Completed Pieces:- Photoshop PSD File
- Layout XHTML
- Layout CSS
This was another one of my "too creative" for real estate website. Personally I feel that this website could be a hit with a certain type of realtor, but unfortunately the higher powers decided not to take the risk on it. Maybe if the realtor was a former tattoo artist they would appreciate this design as much as I do.
